Just starting this year's "Show us your Christmas tree" thread which people can add to, as and when they put their tree up! Ours will probably be quite late this year ........

@Socks' Mum - it's a personal choice :-) There were a few years when I didn't have a Christmas tree - I was single - travelled a lot and there was no point! Although I did have a little token 6" cardboard one I put on a ledge. Which was quite cute and very easy! It was two flat pieces of cardboard (Christmas tree colour and design) that slotted together to become "3D". We actually got a 3" one of those in a Christmas cracker one year!

Not everyone has a Christmas tree either :-)
 
Ours is being delivered today and will sit outside for a few days until I get organised enough to put it up! Need to move a few things round downstairs and get the tree table downstairs ................
 
Lovely :-) Is the angel on the top one of your Grandmother's? :-)
 
Got the window area cleaned and the Christmas cushions on the ledge and went to put the candle bridge in the window (had it for years) to make a start - as the tree won't be for a few days. Got it all in place and plugged in and the bulbs went :ROFLMAO: It's usually only one bulb but none of them come on if one has gone. So then the hunt for the spare bulbs. I KNOW we have some! Last time I couldn't find them, I bought some more so there are two lots somewhere. But nope - not in the Christmas box, not in the bulb cupboard - missing. So that will have to wait until some new bulbs arrive. The pack of bulbs cost half as much asa whole new candlebridge .............. So I hope it works when the bulbs arrive! That has to go up first because once the tree is up we can't get at it.
 
I havent done ours yet, I'm not sure if I'm going to get round to it as there's so much going on.. my partner got me a bottle of prosecco for my birthday back in October so I washed the bottle out after and kept it with the intention of using it as a vase. It's currently the only festive thing in the house and even that's a stretch 🤣

Ignore the dust..pretend it's fake snow 🫣

That is a really lovely bottle decoration 😊

So looks like I made the wrong decision to buy new bulbs for the candle bridge. It still doesn’t work even with new bulbs in - so either something electrical has gone or I got a box of dead bulbs (knocked in the post maybe). So just did what I should have done in the first place and bought a new candle bridge. Which comes with 7 bulbs! But that won’t be here till Friday so the tree will have to wait a bit.
