My little companion, Hammy

That is exactly what Cindy did when she had the savic plaza 100 as a play cage!

Though she has very deep soft bedding to land on, it still scares me when she does this
 
Does she just do it when she wants to come out? :-)
 
No she doesn't. She tends to do it when she is fully woke up and has a bit of energy to burn. Also that corner for some reason is the only corner she'll chew at cardboard 👍😀
 
Mine used to do it one corner whenever he saw me and it was because he wanted out ha ha. If I left the room he would stop.
 
Now I've had her a couple of months, I've seen her character come out. She can be sneaky at times. I'll be looking in her cage sometimes and she's nowhere to be seen. Then I get that feeling I'm being watched and there she is.

Yes she is. 👍she was full of beans before I went out this morning. Borrowing, climbing, chewing cardboard, squeezing down the back of her hide
 
Morning all. Here's Hammys first mountain climb. Ha ha 👍😀 I was sat on my bed when this was taken. Made sure she was safe. At the back of me, though you can't see it, is a spare folded quilt, so in case she got a bit too adventurous, she had something soft to go on.

Lovely bit of interaction for the morning - and that she is so handleable now and enjoys climbing on you :-)
 
It's the first time I've let her go that high up when handling her, but yes, she's come on in leaps and bounds. But just like my last one, she's not one for just sitting still in my hand. Maybe that'll come in time.👍

Put some more cardboard in cage for Hammy to chew on. But she had other ideas. Now it's like a little lean to shelter. You might just see her peeping out under it. 😃👍

Aww - just been reading little Hammy's thread. She reminds me very much of one of my previous Syrian's, Chaos - who was very sweet and adventurous, but also loved just chilling on my chest whilst I was watching a film. Hammy is gorgeous and I love what you have done for her and her home as well. Very cute! xx
 
Thank you. At some point this year, I'll be upgrading her to a Savic aura plexi. I was awake in the early hors this morning, and I heard her moving about. Next I know, she gave a little distress call. When I looked, she'd got stuck behind her large hut. So I gently moved it without startling her. She slowly came out from behind it, then run to the cage gate to get a cuddle. Once she'd had that, she went back into her nest. 😃
