Well,we have five hammies at the mo,and although I spoil the robos and buy them spray bundles when I go on a shopping frenzy lol They are my partners look but don't touch cuties. I love Syrians too much and have always had Syrians. We have four hamster enclosures upstairs and my Robin is in the lounge,I think he would die of boredom if he wasn't,he is way too nosey.I am the same - another one helps me healI got an extreme hamster addiction after our first one! I wanted lots! But had to stick at two because OH put his foot down at three. I very nearly got a third one at one point (he owed me one
) but then decided I just wouldn't be able to give them all enough attention - and it really was going to be an issue fitting a third cage in.
Do you still have rats as well?
Oh and sorry,no,I don't have the room for rats as well,if only. Plus I work my butt off so wouldn't be home enough to give rats the attention they need . They are sooooo clingy and crave interaction.Well,we have five hammies at the mo,and although I spoil the robos and buy them spray bundles when I go on a shopping frenzy lol They are my partners look but don't touch cuties. I will have a word, they are adorable, and I do have a fave out of the four,Holly, she has so much sass. And yes,Syrians love to watchNow I would happily have four robos as well as two SyriansIn fact my ideal combination of two hamsters is a Syrian and a Robo. They have different requirements at different times. But how wonderful to have four Robos and a Syrian. Yes I need the Syrians in the living room as well - they like the attention don't they? And to see what's going on.
I hope we get to meet your partner's robos! On another thread perhaps?![]()
Yes, time is an important consideration. Hamsters may be small, but they love interaction and seeing things going on as much as any other kind of pet. They need individual attention and are very rewarding to form a bond with. I think even watch only pets interact and bond with their owners and need time and attention to thrive happily. I agree about spoiling them because you do not get a huge amount of time with them. Just enough time to try to make their lives happy.I am the same - another one helps me healI got an extreme hamster addiction after our first one! I wanted lots! His colouring is just like a robin, wonderful nameYes,I never had any as a child, but got addicted when I got my own place. I always wanted one,so I spoilt myself as a house warming gift lol
I have had them ever since ,and rats,I can't count how many. But the most Syrians I had at one time was four ,and rats. I had a rodent room in my flat ,full of cages lol They are so gorgeous, and I wish they lived longer. I spoil them as much as I can for the short time that they are here, and have always been very lucky in taming them.
I suffer every time I lose one,but I can't cope with empty cages, and the new always help me heal.
When I lost my Penny ,she was way over two,I knew I needed another,Robin has helped me so much. That's why I named him Robin, new beginnings etc,and his little red face and brown body.
