I think it’s from Pets at Home! Fifi is getting the hang of it now, we put lots of treats in there like cucumber, pepper and banana.

How did Socks pick, did you pull them up on a tablet? That would be super cuteIt was very difficult. I let Socks choose![]()
Or you could put names on pieces of paper, and see what he went forHow did Socks pick, did you pull them up on a tablet? That would be super cute
You know those vocalizations best, way to cast Socks' voteSocks told mom who told me![]()
Or put a different treat in a piece of bedding, assign one word to it and see what they take first.I did try to get Raffy to choose his name when we first got him as we had a shortlist of three and couldn't decide. So I thought I'd let Raffy decide by calling out each name and seeing which one he responded to. It was hopeless ha ha., He perked up and responded to all of them exactly the same - it was tone of voice he was responding to mainly.
Hamsters do sometimes look at screens though. I have a photo of Newt looking at a picture of himself on my computer screen. So maybe they could choose from a tablet!

Budgies very definitely respond to screens. My old budgie had a full on conversation with my brother's budgies via a zoom call during lockdown. It was very entertaining to watch.
Never tried Hamlet with a picture of another hammy. I suspect he would have been more interested in treats...
It does! Maybe you could start itI feel this topic warrants its own thread and some experimentation@Maz , you are always up for a bit of research!
