This is one of the hardest things to write. We had to make the hardest decision today, and help little Jas to go to sleep. She fought to the end, but she needed help, it was the kindest thing to do.
We had lots of hugs and said goodnight.
She was such a character and she had left such and impression on me.
Sleep well and run free at the rainbow bridge, my beautiful little girl, there will be lots of cucumber and Whimzees, just as I promised.
We love you and already miss you like crazy. ❤️

Oh my I wasn't quite expecting that. So sorry for your loss. Jas had got quite elderly and if you knew she was suffering then it was the best thing to do. You must miss her terribly. Play well over the rainbow bridge, sweet Jas.
 
Big hugs 🫂 I know you mentioned she had been squeaking a lot so maybe that was a sign of something? I hope you'll still keep popping on here. I'm not going to ask if you're thinking of getting another hamster as maybe that's too soon to think about.
 
It happened so quickly, yesterday she wasn't quite herself, then this morning she was struggling. We were with her all morning and this afternoon, she seemed like she was getting worse, so we phoned the vet. She was 27 months old.

I don't think so, but can't be sure. She wasn't squeaking at all today.

I'm so sorry. They can go downhill very quickly - I've had similar. She was really a good age but it is still unfair. It's good you were able to get her to a vet so quickly.
 
I am so sorry to hear your little hammy girl has passed away. She was such a strong little personality and your love for her is clear in every post. I'm sure she felt loved and understood. It is so sad that we have such a short time with these lovely little rodents. Play well at the bridge little Jas. You were sent from Heaven and have gone back there 🌈
