It’s Blossom’s 1st birthday today! 🌸🎂🎉🎁🥳At least, it’s the date I’ve chosen for her birthday anyway 😏 When I got her on 3 August last year, I was told that she was 10 weeks old, so I counted back 10 weeks in the calendar to 25 May. Happy birthday to my little May Blossom petal 🌸🎂😊
 
Blossom loves different textures to chew on, so I bought her this lovely selection from Pride Rock Blooms…a gorgeous pink parcel for my gorgeous girl 🌸🌸🌸

I’ll give Blossom her birthday present later in the day. She comes out for her tea at around 5 pm, so that will be a good time 👍

(Does anyone know if it would be safe to put some of the pink paper from the parcel in her dig box?)

Happy Birthday Blossom! Can't wait to see her enjoying her present :-) If you manage to catch a snapshot! I would think the pink paper would be ok personally.

I’ll definitely try to get some photos, although she tends to be pretty speedy, so doesn’t always make it easy!! I think the paper should be ok too really…I’ve had a feel of it, and it doesn’t feel like it has sharp edges or anything. It will make her dig box look so pretty. She loves her dig box so much, so it will give her some more to dig through.

It’s not really any different to coloured Carefresh if it doesn’t have any sharp edges :) I’m sure she’ll really love the box of goodies 😊. Maybe try a video if she’s too fast for a photo? Thats what I sometimes have to do with Raffy.
 
Happy Birthday Blossom! Her birthday gift looks lovely. Is the big heart-shaped thing a cork mat?

I think the paper would be fine to give her too.

Thank you 🤩 Yes, it is a cork mat. I got two, to go under each of her feeding bowls :)

Socks: Mom and I wrote a poem for Blossom's birthday:

Dear Blossom,
May's fairest pup,
Born in time to greet
The first warm suns of June,
Whose colours are caught in your soft fur.
Young Syrian of many hues,
Your fearless defiance of giraffes
And those pesky cage bars,
Has become a legend told through all the bazaars.
Smitten at once,
We have watched you grow from playful kitten
Into Lovelyness' delightful mini bear.
Feisty reducer of all things chewable,
Tubes, cardboard, toys and leaves of banana,
Full of beauty, mischief and fun,
We all love you very much,
But more than anyone else,
You love your Dad and Mum!

I just LOVE that you took the time to write a poem for my girl, and it just captures her so perfectly. THANK YOU ❤️😍🥰🤩
 
I sang Happy Birthday to Miss B. And popped her in her carry case for a few minutes while I decorated her cage with all her birthday goodies, and a birthday tea including a birthday’cake’ of cucumber, carrot and cheese.

Birthday tea 🎂

Blossom loved her birthday cake 🎂 The cheese and half the cucumber were devoured immediately. She has made a special stash of birthday goodies in her wheel 😍 I just hope she moves her stash before she goes on her wheel tonight, else everything is going to go flying!

Lovely photos! Lovely Blossom 😊. She must have been really happy and excited to find all those goodies - especially if some got put in the wheel - favourite things in favourite place 😊
 
She’s still up, more than an hour and a half later! She normally goes straight back to bed for a while after stashing her tea, then comes out again later in the evening for a bit. She’s been having a good go at the palm flower, the banana leaf roll, and is currently attacking the coconut husk heart! It’s all very exciting for her :)
