Anyone done their Christmas shopping? For hamsters and or humans yet? Or any tips for good gifts for hamsters or humans?

I haven't done a lot apart from get Christmas cards, but we're keeping the human gifts simple this year and going out for Christmas lunch instead. I decided I'd like a year off cooking :-)

I was going to get the hamsters some of those Rosewood bonbon treats again as they went down a storm the last couple of years. But can't seem to find any!

The RSPCA has a Christmas shop with pet presents but nothing for hamsters! 😠

Pets at Home have a few things - this hamster sleigh is quite cute :-)
Is that a mouse?

I like the gingerbread man treat - ingredients seem fine

I might get these Snowball treats if I can't find the Rosewood bonbons. They look similar but just coconut (ingredients are fine again).

Seagrass Crown gnaw toy - I like that!

Amazon has a few things too. The Rosewood festive tree again. I've had that a few times, but the last couple of years, both hamsters ignored it.

Found them - looks like they've just come into stock on Amazon (they weren't there last week)

These were really popular with Pip and Raffy last year. I thought they were called Bonbons but they're called Allsortz

And they've got the coconut topped hay cottage again - haven't been able to get one of those for ages.

The little sleigh driver is a rat I think 🐁

I thought so as well but the description says Syrian hamsters, dwarf hamsters and mice. So they used a rat in the photo 🤣. Maybe it’s a small or baby rat.

He's a cute fellow though. Rats usually like soft, comfy beds like hammocks though, off the ground as they are climbers. They don't really chew, so the sleigh wouldn't be ideal for a rat to snooze in. They lounge in groups often.

I've removed the link for the wintery hay cottage - I had just ordered two and it seems to be for the guinea pig or rabbit sized version! They were absolutely huge when they arrived! Clearly I had the wrong link - I'll see if I can find a link for the hamster sized version! I hope it's available as some years it isn't. I did contemplate keeping one for the playpen anyway but it's too big to fit in the freezer drawer :ROFLMAO: So I'll have to send them back.

And a warning - don’t order the wrong size by mistake because Amazon say they can’t be returned. Wondering if the sheep would like to eat them :-) It looks like Amazon don’t sell the small size - just the large and medium (Rabbit and Guinea pig).

Oh dear, rather disappointing. I'm not sure if sheep can digest cardboard. Goats can, I'm sure. You could plant things in them to take outside in Spring as a biodegradable planter 🌱

Good idea. I can't find anywhere selling the wintery hamster sized ones - had that problem last year - viovet might have them but it makes me wonder how old they are.
