Eddie looks so chilled just crunching and nibbling on his veggies. Great vid. 😊

Eddie has such a cute little face while he's munching :)

Well done Eddie, that is very dedicated nomming going on!

Eddie is definitely fluffy and cute :-) Where did you get the wood treat hanging thing from please Beryl? I currently have a broken one (similar) and can't remember where I got it.

What a cutie, he’s enjoying that, love the left back leg stretch to keep balance 🙂

I got the wooden treat hanging thing in a small petshop nearby.
I'll have a look and see who makes it.

Brilliant, thank you. It's shorter than the current one - it may do better for Pip than Raffy :-) Although Raffy's is broken. After he either yanked it down or climbed to the top and bit through the sisal string!

Eddie loves his sand and sits in his jar a lot - he then asks to come out - and heads straight for the big sand dish to sit in there!

I had this reshuffle of cages to accommodate Eddie's changing needs.

Eddie gets caught out and doesn't always make it to his sandbath which he uses as a toilet. I had to throw a degus shelf out and replaced it with a plastikoted shelf i can wipe. I have to wipe his shelves and little ceramic hide regularly and frequently exchange his tubes for a clean one. For that i need easy access to his cage and i need to keep an eye out for damp patches etc. I considered moving him into a bin cage but don't really want to move him from a cage he likes.
The only way to keep him in his home was to move his cage from the corner to the middle of the room. He's on the unit that's screwed onto a dolly trolley so i can check behind the cage as well.
Eddie seems ok with it but he is quite lethargic. I think that his diabetes is at an advanced stage. Eddie has never been a very active hamster so it could also be down to personality.
He seems comfortable which is the mainthing.
He's currently asleep in his coconut after a little run on his wheel.
