Amazing that Eddie has grown bigger than Lilly! Do you know how old he was when you got him? He may have been quite young and still had some growing to do but he is clearly thriving. I can just imagine him digging his paws in to let you know he didn't want to go back.

I was told he was only 3 months and that could be right. He has grown and his brother was very small at only 36g. He's doing a lot better now as well.

Eddie chilling in his coconut.
He didn't get up till late the last few nights. My OH hadn't seen him either.

I only turned the big light on briefly to take a photo because it's quite dim in here.

Aw he looks so content in his coconut!

Well that's gone down well! He's enjoying that a lot.

Looks like Eddie is very happy with your work Beryl. What do the rest of the hamster family think?

They are asleep and their trees are still on the tray. Eddie is the afternoon hamster here.

I haven't seen Eddie since Sunday because he gets up so late. Going by the mess in his cage in the morning he is quite active during the night. He likes the small seeds in the mix and eats them sitting on a shelf. The shelf is always covered with seed shells when i get up. I'm hoping to see him soon.

That’s a shame, I hope he does make an appearance soon although he sounds as though he’s enjoying life in there.

I thought as much. Eddie's a little stinker who pees in his house.
There was no nice way of doing this but i had to check his house so took the roof off and Eddie out. It was smelly and one corner was wet so replaced the bedding with fresh. Eddie looked a bit perplexed and spent time in the playground before climbing around on me. He's running on his wheel now and probably wondering what the heck this was all about.
Some things need to be done so i do it swiftly and before they know it they are back in their wheels or houses.

He does look very cute! He looks a bit surprised to me :) I think he's still very young isn't he? And he may grow out of peeing in his house. Does he have a litter tray in there? (I seem to remember you have a dwarf sized one?). He might use it.
