They all have this fascination with the bathroom which is handy so i can pop them on the scales. Eddie is 65g which is a good weight.

I keep sniffing Eddie when he sits on my hand. He has that musty male dwarf smell about him which reminds me of the old castles i used to explore as a child.

He sounds quite content to me, most of my Russian’s have been quite active in & out of the cage but one of the boys, Flynt was a bit like this, he didn’t do a lot in the cage, didn’t even run in his wheel as much as other hams & really wasn’t a fan of out of cage time unless he could just sit in a hide & munch a treat! He seemed perfectly happy though, I did upgrade his cage & tried making changes to the cage over time but he really wasn’t all that bothered, he just enjoyed cuddles more than anything. I think Eddie is probably fine as he is & that’s just his way.

Eddie was out for a run around and cuddle. He then had to wash his feet!

Came home at lunch time to find Eddie up which was a surprise. Eddie chomped away on a whimzee. I then chatted to him and stroked him. Eddie stopped, gave me a look and walked off back into his house! I guess that he was not pleased to see me, lol.

They must find us humans very irritating sometimes. That's him chomping away minding his own business and then this human appears and interupts him by stroking him.

Haha, yes, it does make sense. Before you mentioned the omelette roll i was thinking that i learned something today. It was really quite rude of me to interupt Eddie like that. In future i will only stroke Eddie when he comes to me but will respect him for the little person that he is and leave him be when he's busy. He's quite tolerant and doesn't mind me chatting, recording him or opening his door.
