Does anybody know if this is hamster safe? It is cheaper then Ponal and has a quicker shipping time. I thought this may be something we could all use when we need to make things such as platforms.

There's probably not much in it but I wouldn't think it matters. For non-weight-bearing things, I find even normal PVA craft glue is fine so any non-toxic wood glue should be more than enough.I use the Gorilla wood glue now which i bought at Tesco. I don't know which one is stronger, Gorilla or Elmers.
I have the traditional Elmers but it is for paper.I believe it is. Someone mentioned using it before (I thought it was you )
That article says Gorilla glue is unsafe due to a chemical it contains.I don't know how authoritative it is, but this article gives some detail on which glues are safe and why some are not (due to their contents). It seems there is more than one type of Elmer's Wood glue, but the "standard" one is ok. It says no to Gorilla glue as it contains something that can cause illness. Ponal isn't even mentioned - maybe because it's German. But it's been used safely for many years.

I don't even know what glue guns are ha ha. I've heard of them and no idea how they are used or what goes in them. What confuses me is, some people say you can get a glue gun and non toxic glue to use for hamster things and others say to never use a glue gun. I have seen glue for glue guns that say they are non toxic.
I think it's probably it's probably referring to the standard gorilla glue which expands like a foam. The wood glue is different. That article says Gorilla glue is unsafe due to a chemical it contains.
This is a glue gun.I don't even know what glue guns are ha ha. I've heard of them and no idea how they are used or what goes in them.
What is it you're wanting to glue Rainbow? Something wood presumably?
Thank you. Is a hot glue safe? I tried looking for information about which hot glue to buy but could not find any actual brands.Cork will be difficult to glue because it's so porous. The glue will be absorbed into the gaps in the cork rather than forming a strong bond. A hot glue gun may work better though.
That is a good idea. I sealed one side but did not think to try and seal the other side.Thank you rainbow. Maybe the cork could be sealed with plastikote (or at least in the areas where legs go)
