Emails not getting through

It seems that some emails aren't getting through, eg if changing password or registering (so don't try changing your password right now!). I need to work out what is going on but I did think it was odd that we've had no new members since mid December! Can anyone confirm if they are receiving the weekly newsletters or not? I suspect they are not getting through either.

I'm on with trying to sort it out.

I haven't been getting emails about new posts to threads I'm subscribed to. I assumed it was something to do with my own account settings.

But now that you mention it, I don't think I've had a newsletter for a while either.
 
Thanks Daisy. This explains why it was quiet in January - it's usually a busy time just after Christmas. It might take me a few days to get it sorted as it's complicated.
 
I haven't had any newsletters lately either 🙁 I hope the problem is easy to fix.
 
It's a total pain but I'm working on it with the server.
 
Still sorting things out, but for now I've cancelled the weekly newsletter and will restart it up again when email is sorted.

Aw thanks. Never had a problem with emails before - it's a server thing that I'm trying to sort out but it's slow - things change all the time.

I just got an email about this new post!

It's a few hours late but at least something's getting through now?

Yep - I just fixed it :-) It took hours - yawn. I'll be having a lie in tomorrow......I mean today!

Basically the email plan needed upgrading as there was a backlog due to emails exceeding the daily quota. So we should be getting new members again now. I'll set up the weekly newsletter again soon but might leave it a week or so to settle down :-)
 
Good stuff. Yes it's fully working again now. It was rather complicated as had to switch to a different type of email protocol as the basic one had too many restrictions on daily limits. Which was ok when the forum was newer but it's set for the future now :)
