I have spent rather a lot setting this new cage up, so whilst I loved some platform type things like the castle from Happy Henry’s Homes, I couldn’t really afford it…
So I cannibalised two corner shelves! The small one I had already, the second was the biggest corner shelf (33cm? About £10). Took the edging off where needed, cut the large corner into a long rectangle (the remains may get made into another smaller corner or step…) joined them and refit the trims after cutting them as needed. The trim didn’t quiiiiite fit the new long shelf, so I turned the end into a corner cut out, which I may attach some steps or some sort of ladder to at some point, will see how we go.
My two little substrate trays fit perfectly! (I’m going to get some aubiose for the empty one next time I open a clean bale for my daughter’s pony!)
Possibly going to put a bridge across from the apple branch to the shelf too, I just didn’t get round to that today
I can’t wait for my new little guy to explore!
