Glitches?

A few "Oops" errors? Yes I have too - I'm on with getting someone to look into it. If you refresh the page it should go again.

I have not noticed any issues personally! I haven't been on it much though since I've been busy at work this week. I will let you know if I start to see any, but so far it's fine!

Not quite fixed yet! If you get an error, just refresh the page and it should go away!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by awards for posting? Were these emails? If so were they the congratulations you get when you've had x many likes, with things like - someone likes you or valued member? If so then that might be normal even if you haven't posted, if people have liked posts you made previously But thank you for letting me know, I'll check that out.

As an update the glitches started due to an overcautious server action when I was uploading the new smilies! The smilies themselves are fine and not a problem, but the server action seems to have glitched a few forum settings which the experts are putting right now. It might take a few days though as they are busy. It's partly why the forum software renewal is important as it gives support if anything goes wrong.

Without going into technicalities, I've now found there is a different way to upload smilies other than the intended way, which won't trigger the server to think the forum is being attacked! So while it's good the server was protecting the forum, it caused an issue!

Hi Maz, sorry should have given you a little more info. They were trophies, one called "avid poster" and another called "can't stop". They came through as alerts, I don't think I received any emails.

Yes those are for reactions/likes. So if anyone likes any of your posts you get bumped up It could be just normal or might be part of it - but it'll get sorted out soon

Seems it's all server side so am trying to get to speak to a human at the server rather than just the bot!

It should all be fixed now Although I'm convinced the human adviser I requested was also an AI assistant and not a human. There are giveaways in things they say. Server settings changed so that doesn't happen again when uploading smilies! The forum should be running a bit faster now as well as everything has been optimised. I gave up waiting for the software technicians and sorted it out myself with the server. Seeing as it was a server issue in the first place. The technicians would probably have sent me on to the server anyway.

Ok well I'm still getting the odd glitch! A page not displaying correctly. But again resolves if you refresh? Anyone else?

This is a server issue. As a result, and as I just updated on the donations thread, I'm switching the server to a new one over the next few days so then everything should be back to normal. Current server is setting too tight restrictions on processes. It's probably a tactic to make you upgrade to a more expensive plan but instead I'm moving us sideways to a better server
