The Hamster Fair 2024 is on Saturday 17 February 2024 at York Racecourse.

I'm not comfortable with the venue.
I wished they would have kept it animal friendly and chosen a neutral venue.
 
That is an unusual time of year for it - a very quiet time of year. Unless it's half term week, which is possible. I think I know what you mean about views of the venue. It's a actually a big conference centre - not actually the racecourse itself. I wonder why they didn't go for the University again instead.
 
I've just read on Hamster Welfare that the next Hamster Fair organised by Happy Hamsters will be in Leicester on 20 July 2024.
They are doing two in 2024.

It is so popular so I guess they are doing two so more people can attend.
 
Unless they've switched venues? Although York is very busy in February half term as there's an annual festival on then.

Comic convention. It is a place for people to meet up. They can have various themes. People often go as a character they like and they all meet up. Often famous people are there such as actors who play the characters.
 
Ha ha - I wonder if we're meant to go dressed as hamsters :ROFLMAO:

Beryl - if you've seen the films Paul or Diary of a Wimpey kid, you'll know what comic con is. It's any kind of big convention with a fan base. Comic con is for comics (marvel etc). If you haven't seen the film Paul - it's worth a watch. It's very funny.
 
I have heard of Startrek conventions where people turn up dressed as Trekkie characters.

Yes, i wonder if they sell merchandise like stick on whiskers to wear.
