Henry

He is really tackling that treat ball. Very methodically - he's a clever little boy. I also thought he looked very sweet having a wash :)
You can see his markings quite well when he pulls the bowl over, and with the narrow stripe and side markings, he is quite a Campbells hybrid dwarf. He seems to have the markings and eyes of a Campbells, but the winter white ears :)

That is what is different about his eyes, great observation Maz.

Henry was sleeping on the surface again, when I went to feed him he was fast asleep in his old spot where the tray used to be.

We did our usual interactions, and he got even faster at the treat ball. He learned to just pull the bedding out with his paws, and goes in for the treat once it's hollow.

I broke the rule and tried a second interaction, Henry showed me the old "all done" flump. He just wanted his alone time, we've interacted a lot the past week. He is as expressive as ever.

I have some new stuff on the way for him. A new carrier for any future vet visits, a scale, and an assortment of sprays. Hoping he's not overweight from the early overfeeding, need to find out and do what I can to help him live a full life.

Henry really is enjoying those treat balls now, I’m sure he’ll love the sprays too when you get them.
I wouldn’t worry about him being overweight, they very rarely do get overweight unless they’re just fed lots of fatty treats, if you give them more food than they need they tend to just stash it & it won’t have done him any harm to have had more of those protein sticks.
He doesn’t look big at all, just very cute!

I know you're probably right, he had an epic hoard built up with the extras. Curious what he weighs though

It’s always a good idea to keep a check on their weight, they do vary a lot though so it’s more to check that it stays steady once they’ve grown, there isn’t really a standard weight for Russians.

It’s great watching Henry with his puzzle treats, he’s definitely determined and just knows there’s a reward hidden in there somewhere. Hes‘s such a happy little chap 🙂

He's adorable. I don't think he's overweight either. I think it's mainly when people have given them loads of sunflower seeds - that can create weight gain, so I tend to use those sparingly as treats.

Henry was again asleep upside down in his corner at food time, I accidentally woke him. I tried to give him his beloved protein stick and he threw it at me!

He warmed up and asked for an interaction once he was up. I will feed him later the rest of the week. Henry also did his fastest run with the treat ball, time for something new.

It's lovely he sits for strokes like that :-) I also liked seeing him having that little scratch while wrestling with his treat ball. Clearly the protein stick annoyed him for some reason!

The new scale and pet carrier arrived, the sprays should be in tomorrow. I weighed Henry by zeroing the scale with his taxi on it, he is 69 grams. I think the recent change in the amount of food should help over time, glad I realized it. It was a little confusing for him, he also zoomed around the couch a bit and asked for his treat ball to be filled. You can see him holding it with his mouth and he just pulls the bedding out. I want to say he's a super smartie, but he also dug all over the seed while it was on the ground. Took him a bit to realize he'd already won.

Aww Henry’s loving his flax! It’s lovely when you give them something new & they get excited. He looks so adorable looking up at you at the end too 😍

I may have been misreading Henry's flumps the entire time. He gave me a big nibble and was adamantly trying to tell me something all night. I tried petting him when he flumped on the bridge, and was dumbfounded when he enjoyed it for a good several minutes.

Pure Bliss
