Haha, that's pretty good! I'm tempted to get a sandbox now and sit it in with him, imagine he would probably think "about time you had a bath". He likes it if I keep my hand in there while he enjoys treats or grooms, he gave me a pumpkin seed back once. It was super cute

It really sucks you guys don't get these big totes for cheap over there, they're fantastic.

Henry woke up early, maybe I was too loud when coming home. But he was okay with doing our morning ritual, in return I'm to let him do his thing the rest of the night. It's a pretty fair deal we have in my book. On the plus side, I was able to get some footage of him melting a bit from pets.

Also got in 2 new Niteangel platforms for his sand bath and wheel, the cardboard was sagging a bit. Was able to replace the one under the sandbath without bothering him, giving him some time before I do the other one. He was hesitant about the cork log, but I was able to encourage him to explore it with some treats. Henry loves the thing now, he uses it for naps and the highway in one go.

That is just so sweet! Henry really likes affection and you have bonded so well.

The Niteangel platforms sound great. I love that Henry is enjoying his cork log so much. You thought of a great way to get him used to it.

We did our first out of bin adventure, Henry got up early and kept signaling hard he wanted it. I used a coffee mug taxi to get him out of the bin, but he refused to go in it on the way back. He prefers my hands it seems, so I'll have to keep picking up on his signals. I watched his body language carefully, and after about 15 minutes of climbing over me and licking my ear he was ready to go back.

It went really well for his first time, I wasn't ready and had my laptop & work stuff out on the bed. He climbed over the keys and wrote "azsxcde" with his paws, I can only guess it's a secret code to his hoard. I need to spruce up my room a bit and plan to have more toys & diy stuff ready for him next time.

That's great that Henry asked to come out and it sounds like he enjoyed himself.

That sounds as though it went really well & Henry enjoyed his first trip out, that was really sweet him climbing over you & licking your ear.

He really has, he again got up earlier to say hi today around lunch time. I try my best to stay quiet and not wake him up, but I think he smelled I was home. He wasn't grumpy either, so I'm hoping he was just excited to say hi and get more pumpkin seeds.

Yeah, they are the one treat he actually likes. I've tried many things until giving them a whirl, Beryl suggested them and it was a winner. I sure hope so, at least when he is grumpy he does show me very clearly.

Henry was miffed by something, and acting like he was scared of me to a degree the past 3 days. Not sure what it was, but today he heard me on a call for work and got up to say hi. I wish I got a picture of him peeking over the cork log while standing up, but nabbed some consolation footage.

Nah, Henry's not scared of you but they go through phases.
Maybe you looked at him the wrong way, used the wrong soap or deodorant. Who knows.
Bernard's like that. Comes running to sit on my hand but run away a couple of hours before because i looked at him.
I sometimes feel that unless i fit in with their routine i'm not part of their agenda, lol.

I think you're right Beryl, we are still on good terms. Henry is very clearcut with his one interaction a day rule. He's pure sweetness and will interact for a good bit, but then always wants his alone time once we're done.
