Koo Koo the Hammy!

I'm new this forum and have a long-haired syrian hamster named Koo Koo!
I got him from some friends that didn't want him anymore.
He's an absolute sweetheart and loves cuddles, treats, and attention.
I'm not sure exactly how old he is, but I think he's about 1 and 1/2 years old.
I love him very much and I'm always looking for ways to care for him better. :)

Is Koo Koo the hamster in yout avatar? He's gorgeous. He's a lucky hamster and must be very happy to have found a loving home with you.
 
Ooh he is so gorgeous and fluffy! He looks like a sable as well possibly? It looks like he has the eye rings. Welcome to the forum and look forward to hearing more about KooKoo. There's a photo competition at the moment if you're interested :) And also a section to make a diary thread for your hamster, which you can update now and then with their antics and photos.

I've never heard of sable, but he originally came from Petsmart, so I don't know.
 
He's a long haired Syrian hamster :-) Also known as teddy bear hamster in the US. Sable is a colouring (like golden or cream etc). I thought he looked to have the eye rings of a sable, but I may be wrong :) .

I don't know very much about hamster breeds/colorations, so you're probably right.
