I saw an idea on how to make a hamster present from a youtube video. I cut two stripes of cardboard roll (one a little bigger then the other) and pushed the smaller one into the bigger one. This creates a cube. I made a glue using a little flour and water then painted the top of the present. I sprinkled seeds on to it and once it dried I hid a pea flake inside. Here it is. I hope Orko likes it.

Orko liked his present. He did not hesitate to take the seeds off. He does not seem aware there is a pea flake hidden inside so perhaps that was too difficult for him.

I'm glad Orko liked his present! I have never yet had a hamster actually get a parcel open to get a treat inside! I am sure they are capable of it - maverick females easily rip cardboard apart. But I think most hamsters can't be bothered ha ha. Maybe you could start it off for him and leave a little gap. With the treat cracker I made for Charlie (on the cardboard creations thread) he didn't make any attempt at all to get it open, so eventually I cut a hole in the side and he stuck his head in :)

Aww that was so cute the way Charlie did that. The pea flake fell out of the present so I just put it out for Orko to eat and he was happy with that. :)
