When i turned 50 i wanted to test my brain to find out if it still functioned because i had my doubts.
It was a toss up between learning a new language or obtaining a motorcycle licence.

I opted for the motorcycle licence and everybody thought i had gone mad including the instructor in the biking school who refused to hand over my cbt certificate.
Then i did go mad and told him to hand it over because i had paid good money for it and falling off a bike is part of learning and so is doing wheelings in the middle of the road.
I'm surprised he didn't ask me to sign a disclaimer.

to be continued......

Lol! You are brave. When I turned 50 I realised that every birthday needs to be celebrated as you don't know how many more you'll get! And had a reunion with old school friends. We didn't have a lot to say after the first couple of chats ha ha.

Hm trying to remember back to turning 50. Oh yes. I got a horse! A beautiful gelding that I called Caspian. He was a lovely dark orange colour with a grey mane and tail and a little bit of white on his nose.

He was elegant and lovely. My friend has 3 horses and they all lived together in a huuge shed with 24/7 access to fields. I had to sell him when we moved from the farm.

Totally agree about celebrating every birthday, well every day. Who knows how long we have got ...

That's a shame that you had to sell your horse. He sounds beautiful.
