Hi my name is Macho, but my mum called me Mr. Nibbles (duh 🙄). I moved in to weeks ago and got my own room. I love the room, had to do a bit of redecorating though… my mum is kind, but she visits my room and I have to check she hasn’t stolen anything. You never know with these humans. They can’t store food, their cheeks are too small!!
Every night i pee in my wheel, mum has to clean it cause the odd poop and sawdust gets stuck 😂
Now I will have a spin in my Ferrari so bye for now guys 🐹

Mum: thanks Nibbles I do have my own food…
I am truly in love with little hamster, but Macho would have been a more suitable name 🙄
He still won’t eat mealworms, neither boiled or scrambled egges!
He loves a bit of apple, strawberries and cucumber… monkey nuts are his favourite and dried pumpkin. He also loves sunflower seeds, milk thistle seeds and linseeds. But otherwise he is very fussy.
so far he will take a treat, sniff my fingers (he holds on to them whilst doing this) but I have not yet hit him out of his cage.
He is not interested in climbing into anything other than his sand bowl which he pees in.
Fingers crossed one day I will succeed 😅

Hello Mr Nibbles - gorgeous boy :-) Looking forward to following your progress and antics and seeing more of you :-)

Yes, making a racket is definitely a way of saying, Mom, where are you? Come and pay attention to me 😉❤️

Same ritual every evening, between 6.00 and 7.00 I quietly spot clean the cage, change the water and clean the wheel. As soon as Nibbles hears me he comes up and wants a treat. Sometimes he goes for a pee in his sandbath, not bothered that I am in there cleaning 🙄 a few stretches later he goes back for a quick nap 😴 then about half an hour later he resurfaces of course asking for a treat. He gets a few tiny bits of fruit or veg and then he’s awake. 😂

Aw, he's growing well!
It’s does look like it. Thank your good advice 🫶 he still rejects the mealworms, but I don’t worry anymore. Today my friend bought I packet of yogurt drops without sugar. I know I must not feed them regularly, but I gave him half of one to try. He loves them! He took it straight on his wheel and demolished it ☺️

Lovely that Nibbles is so confident and friendly 🥰

Mums getting upset with me, I am fussy she says! Here’s a list of won’t I don’t like:
MEALWORMS! Duh 🙄
Boiled and scrambled egges
Fresh organic parsley or basil
Crickets dried
Amarant sprays

As anyone got an idea what else I could put on the shopping list for her to buy?
I love apples carrots (organic of course and baby carrots)
Monkey nuts (cheers to my friend Maz) walnuts are not too bad…
Strawberries are okay
Cucumber okay
Loved those yogurt drops, but mum said I will only get half a week!
I love pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, milk thistle and linseed.
I am not fussy I am a gourmet 😅

I got up to watch her clean my house, the wheel was a mess (hehe) I will pee on that again later! I don’t pee while I am running! I stop to do it, hmm on hindsight it’s annoy cause my little paws get wet! But I like to watch her cleaning it. She put a few titbits out for me, I sniffed her fingers, smelt of apples… I think she was expecting me to nibble them. I might be a macho, but I have got good manners 😅

Half a shelled walnut goes down well usually :-) (Good for protein). Maybe no more than twice a week.
A bit of fresh cooked chicken (no spices, sauces or gravies) if you happen to have had a roast chicken. But only a really tiny bit to make sure they eat it.
Vitakraft chew sticks are popular - I get the honey and spelt ones. Good for their teeth.
You can get pumpkin seeds in their shells (the white ones) they like cracking those. Pumpkin seeds are my main treats and walnuts.
Dried coconut flakes
Not particularly healthy as contain a bit of sugar, but Tiny Friends yippees sticks are good for their teeth and very popular
Whimzee toothbrushes (maybe you already have those).

Pecan or walnut - not both :-) And porridge oats cooked is fine as well - on a teaspoon - most hamsters love porridge. It can be faffy so I only do it as an occasional treat or for older hamsters.

I think I’ll try the oats… I haven’t got chicken as I am a vegetarian. But I could ask my mum…
I haven’t given him a tiny bit of walnut… he wasn’t that keen 🙄 I will buy some pecan nuts to try. He is fussy 😂
