The Bucatstate seems to have arrived at the German customs so in a few days I expect it will arrive
I ordered a niteangel platform for the wheel, they are rather expensive but the only ones I found that have a ridge around them. Nibbles has the habit of scooting on to his wheel and I feel that will be safer. He has managed to move the wheel around in his playpen through his scooting actions
I also orders niteangel cork substrate and then thought I should have asked here if it is suitable. But I can still send it back if not. He only uses his small sand bath ball, so I thought to put the cork in the larger bowl as many claim their hamsters love it.
He has grown so much the sand bath ball is not really that big, but somehow he loves it
I hope he will enjoy the Bucatstate, he will definitely have more room in there

I'd start taking some multi vitamins now before it arrives, then you'll have the energy to put it together I like the Bucatstate enclosures really pleased with mine and the niteangle brand is good I've got a few bits of theirs I'm sure. Nibbles will love it Ness

Thanks Ness I have bought some Greek yogurt for energy

I just drink lots of tea when doing things like that . Calms the mind and the caffeine helps!

I’m sure Nibbles will love the Bucatstate - he will notice the extra space as well I’m sure.

If you mean the niteangel cork granules they are fine - I use them. I baked them on a baking tray in the oven

It’s arriving today I hope it compensates for this terrible heatwave.
At our office door the thermometer said 42,9 degrees in the sun 🫪
I am at home now and doing everything possible to keep the heat out it’s 25 degrees in the flat

Oh no no no I really couldn't take that temperature, year's ago dad and I used to find a rock and bake! Just can't take it anymore. I hope the flat stays better for you and nibbles Ness

I can’t take it either, I feel sick
That’s another reason I don’t like Germany

Nibbles has been up for his broccoli
The little ice packs under his cage are really keeping him cool. The stand ventilator with ice cubes in it is really helping I have ordered another one in miniature also with ice cube cooling to put in the kitchen for Nibbles (the big one is in the front room and blows air also into the kitchen, but it’s not powerful enough to keep both rooms cool.
This thing has been a game changer
I have put both parasols up all day and poured cold water on the balcony floor. That helped but dryed up real fast
I have been able to keep 23 degrees and that is with outside temperature of 29-30.
I am going to drink a cold shandy now, it’s standing in the fridge next to Nibbles sand bath
If only he knew what a faff I have been doing to keep him comfortable.
One day down, I pray it’s over soon

I’m slightly envious of the hot sunny days but maybe not those temperatures! I suppose Germany is mostly in land so no sea breezes.

Exactly I am spot on in the middle surrounded by forest. Believe me, this is nothing to envy it’s awful, you just feel sick all day if you are out
