Basic, but it does the job. Even though I have the TV on, she's not bothered by it. It's nice to see how she sleeps as well. It's a window into her little life

Just found my little friend has moved out of her main nest during the night, and taken up residence in her ceramic mushroom. guess the warm weather is too much for her

Very sensible of her moving to something ceramic, and sitting in the shade of her sand bath - the sand is probably cooler as well. Do you have anything to help keep her cooler? A fan in the room (not close to the cage though) or other cooling items? You could put a bag of frozen peas on top of the cage (put cardboard underneath though or she might chew the plastic bag through the bars). Keep refreezing them when they defrost. Not suitable for eating after being defrosted and refrozen a few times!

Hammys been up about an hour. She's just walking around the cage like she doesn't know what to do with herself. She certainly doesn't like this hot weather we're having.

A friend of mine has given me some decent bits of thick cardboard this evening. Ideal for making deep bedding screens. It'll make it about 10 deep by the time I sort it. Need to figure out how to keep her wheel at the same level it is now. The top is only about 1 inch clear of the roof.
