Socks is absolutely adorable! I'm a little late on this thread, but I just joined and I'm nosing around the forum. I have never seen a black hamster before! Looks like black velvet!!!!
 
Thank you! Nice to have you on the forum! Yes, I grew up with only golden hamsters. His coat is nice and soft! When I saw him in the pet shop, he was bar biting and monkey barring and I thought he was quite a character and liked that. He has settled down though, and has stopped those things I'm glad to say 😌
