Omlet have 20% off at the moment as part of their summer sale. The large playpen is currently £63 instead of £79. 20% off makes a big difference! If anyone does buy any of the items in their sale, if you use one of the links on this page, the forum gets a small commission (it doesn't cost you any extra). I have been really tempted with the sand bath on legs for some time ................ and love the multiroom houses. It makes a big difference to the price of the cage (and the cage includes the wheel).

I have the in cage wheel that came with the cage, it's great, really quiet and works smoothly and reliably ❤️

The sale has been extended until 27th July - another 6 days. The code to enter is SUMMERSALE to get the 20% off and if you use one of our links (above) the forum gets a small commission as well :)

It is certainly well made and designed and nice aesthetics :-) As you know, I'm a big fan of the playpen in particular - it's quite unique. Just expensive! I reckon it would last for donkeys years though as it's so well made.

Yes, if the playpen had been available when Blossom was younger, I would definitely have got one.

I recommend the playpen. Rosie is a big hamster (215g) and has tried jumping up at it and it's too high for her. She's also very thoroughly tested chewing it in all sorts of places. I end up with little bits of plastic on the floor but I think it would take for longer than she's alive to get through it.

I think it's perfect :-) It is quite big but you can have it any size you want really by bending the angles different shapes :) I currently have one very long straight side and then a kind of semi circle for the rest of it - which does make it a bit smaller, but also means the long side is up against the sofa so any jumps from the sofa and they end up back in the playpen :-)

It's great to hear that Rosie didn't manage to chew through it! It's hard plastic and quite thick so I imagine it's hamsterproof! I had slight trepidation about the height at first, as it was a bit lower than my wood playpen but you're right - even a large syrian can't get over it - unless you accidentally give them a step up to the top by putting a hide next to the edge!

They look really nice. I hope he likes it :-) I got one too! Mine hasn't arrived yet.

I love the idea of a metal sand bath too,but I think it's a bit short on the legs if you have deep bedding. Shame

It maybe is if you have deep bedding :-) I do like the idea that it's on legs at all though! It's not too bad. It's about 20cm tall to the top so it could be partly submerged in 20cm of bedding. If it's very deep bedding though, it would probably need to stand on something else to make it taller. Which might defeat the object a bit.

Yes,that's exactly what I am thinking.I have looked at it a few times and just see that it's too short. Robin has 12 inch of bedding,so for now I have to stick with his jar in the corner, stood on a platform. Its one of this storage jars stood on its side
