My old plastic playpen I made out of four sheets held together with cable ties that folded flat to put away had got a bit tatty, was beginning to split & was very lightweight so could possibly have been lifted up by a little nose trying to escape! It was also a bit small so I’ve been looking at other options but nothing really worked, I wanted something that fitted into the space I have in front of the cage without having to keep moving things out of the way.
I don’t have 100cm space each way so the wooden ones wouldn’t really have worked & I came up with this idea, same as the plastic one but four sheets of perspex, it fits perfectly, should (in theory haven’t tried yet!) fold flat if I want to put it away & is definitely too heavy for little noses to get under.
It’s 120x90x40 so should be plenty big enough.
Definitely one of my more expensive ideas but I really like it.

Still waiting to hear about a hamster so it will be a while before i can try it out, looking forward to that though.

Thanks everyone.
Daisy I was thinking that about the full view, should be fun to watch!
It is thick Beryl, I think it’s 4mm can’t remember for sure but it’s pretty solid. That’s a shame that you don’t have space for a Chinesey, it’s so rare to see them in the ads now.
