I came across this pictures of an adorable hamster at the vets.

This Girl Wears A Collar To Prevent Her From Scratching Her Wounds. Step Of Spitting Out Stuff She Had Stored In Her Cheek Pouches

Aw. A little robo after surgery. I have heard different stories about collars. I think some vets do it, some don't. When our Syrian had surgery my vet said as long as he was on Metacam he wouldn't scratch at his wounds, and that turned out to be the case. I can imagine with a hamster, they would get the collar off in no time!

I know! They would wriggle out. I wonder if the collar was used just for a short time.

It probably was - perhaps straight after surgery when he was coming round. I guess the vets don't have time to watch them every second when they have a few pets post op.

Such adorable pictures. I had to share them.😀

My hamster Edwina spat the contents of her pouches at the vet!

Apparently, hamsters do that to intimitate aggressors.

The vet was highly amused and very taken with little Edwina who ended up sitting on his hand washing.

He then halved the consultation fee stating that she was too small to charge the whole fee.

Oh how cute. I just pictured the seeds flying at the vet. The vet sounds lovely.

I'm going to move this to "everything else hamster section" :-) Now there is that section. Miscellaneous can be for non hamster things now.
