Pip the Robo

Just tell Pip to think of it as his holiday house, small but perfectly formed like Pip himself!
He is a cutie.

Thank you. It may well be a holiday home for a few days at this rate. I’m pooped clearing out his old cage and haven’t finished yet.

It is tiring and even more so in this heat. I hope you can take regular breaks.

Well the Plaza is emptied and taken to pieces and in the bath. I didn’t find anything in the cage. I kind of wish I had found that moth as it means it’s still roaming around and could go into one of the other cages. Poor Pip. It was so clean and tidy as well. A little pee corner stained a bit yellow and a dry hoard or two and that was it.

Aw, Pip is so clean and tidy. I think you had to do this to put your mind at rest. Perhaps it was just a normal moth and not a food moth after all.

I wasn’t taking any chances. I watched a moth go in and out of the cage for a few days the first time and it was living in there (along with all its offspring)

Pip has been running on the Savic wheel in the other room. I saw him on the hamstercam. I went in to say hello and switched the light on. He froze then gave me a dirty look and went in the shoebox house. I think he doesn’t trust me right now. His cage contents being upturned then put in a box then picked up and put in a strange cage in a strange room. A bit if a culture shock perhaps. Anyway he was enjoying running on the wheel.

Some short clips of Pip exploring the temporary cage a bit this afternoon.

This one is slightly longer - about 1.5 mins. But he looks really cute in close up.

Pip’’s so adorable 😍
He’s having a good look round his holiday home there, he looks so sweet nibbling on his hay hous.

Aw, the close up of Pip are just so adorable! He is so cute. He does not seem too annoyed with you as he stayed out with you there.🙂

Yes strangely he wasn't bothered about the phone in the cage in the afternoon, but did you see my other post above? He didn't look pleased with me last night. Maybe it's when he realised he was staying there overnight.

I missed that post (not entirely with it right now!) maybe he thought he was just having some out of cage time & not so happy when he realised he wasn’t going home! Hope things are all sorted soon & can get back to normal for him & you.

Thank you elusive. He also showed me the sand box wasn't quite right! It's too high to climb out of at the ends. I couldn't put any more sand in or it would fall out of the front (it's just an upside down carrot cottage). Maybe needs a little step in it.

I did see he was annoyed with you last night. I hope he has forgiven you today. He really is adorable.

It is a very big change for him. He's been in that cage and set up for over 18 months. But then maybe a change is as good as a rest. He is getting older as well at two years old so I had intended to adjust the set up in his Plaza anyway the next time I did a clean. Although would have done it one day and had him back in there under normal circumstances.

No I didn't lol. But then he hasn't had one for ages. Strangely though all but one of the very small teaspoons are missing! They are so small I think they accidentally get thrown out among food debris sometimes but it is strange they are all gone except one! But no there were none in Pip's cage. I started retrieving them next day after he had some porridge.

I think Pip needs some special treats at the moment so will start giving him porridge again.

Sounds like they got thrown out with his bedding then.
I am sure extra treats will make Pip very happy. 🙂
