Pip the Robo

It was worth doing it :-) Despite all my moaning and groaning over the faulty platform!

Great video and fab set up. Very inspirational too.

I've always wondered how the ramp connects to the shelf. How is it attached to keep in place?

Thank you :-) The set up isn't a lot different to before - it's just higher up! The ladder is one that is supposed to go with the shelf. Not sure if you can see but it has a wood piece at the end that attaches to the shelf, which has a slot in and it's supposed to just slot onto the shelf. Except it's far too loose for that and would easily fall down, so I stuffed a couple of bits of hemp mat in the slots to make it a tighter fit.

I'm not sure Pip is too impressed by the design of the top wood piece that slots on, as it sort of sticks up a bit. But maybe he was just curious as it's different from his old shelf.

Is that a new shelf and ramp? I thought it was the ramp he had before.

It's that platform that I had leg trouble with! The ramp is new and is supposed to go with it. The previous ramp in his cage I had screwed to the bars and that wasn't going to work.

As mentioned on Raffy's thread, we've been away for a week. I wasn't completely relaxed, after getting back, until I'd seen Pip. Raffy was out straight away. Pip eventually appeared about half an hour ago and at least welcomed me back by coming nose to nose at the cage bars a couple of times. Unlike Raffy who didn't show any signs of being pleased to see me but just wanted to free roam!

I think Pip is quite sensitive. He went very thin looking when I was unwell and didn't see him for about two weeks.

Aw, how adorable Pip came out to see you. I think he really missed you. :)

That's so sweet of him, glad to hear he came out to welcome you home. Always love to hear more about little Pip

Pip seems to like the perspex panel in front of the cage door and sometimes comes right up to it and rests his paws on it. I chat to him while he's there. Sometimes, like last night, it's a bit too close - he peered over the top and for a moment I thought he was going to jump so had to close the cage door quickly. Good job there is a giant cushion on the floor there!

Aw, how adorable Pip rests his little paws on it and listens to you chat to him! That is so cute. :)

I am wondering if he's trying to tell me something but not sure what. I shall watch and listen. Or maybe he's just thinking about coming out.

Pip continues to come and peer over the panel when the door is open. I think he’s slowed down a little bit now he’s older. But not that much! It’s quite sweet he is not afraid to be so close to me face to face.

He also comes up to the bars to talk to me. I wish I knew what he wanted to say. So I’m keeping my eye on him in case he is trying to say he has a problem - but seems ok.
