Hello guys,
My hammy literally stay inside her house all day since I have my boyfriend in my place but when I all alone she come out from time to times during the day. Is this behaviour normal?

I would say your hamster is just unsure of your boyfriend as she does not know him. In time I am sure she will get used to him once she learns he is not a threat to her.

I can't say much more than Rainbow did . She is maybe still a bit shy of different peoples' scents. Do you have her out of the cage at all yet? Maybe some time with both of you would help her adjust. Although maybe your bf wouldn't be interested in that ha ha. I have sometimes found with hamsters though, that they have a "main" or "favourite" person. One hamster would avoid my OH. Another one adored him and always went to sit next to him on the sofa (although that might be because there was a dark corner next to him on the sofa as he was bigger!). They get to know all people who live there eventually. But if your bf doesn't live there all the time she is probably still a bit wary as his scent won't be around as much.

Do you have anything you could use as a playpen area when she's out?

How long have you had Sweetie? She may still be settling in. If she's only around 10 weeks old then she's still a baby and will grow in confidence yet.
It's great that she's already comfortable with you but your bf is still a stranger to her. She'll get used to him in her own time.

Yeah you are right, also he doesn’t pay any attention to her so she doesn’t know him as a friend
