Red and swollen tail

My hamsters 10 months old and i’ve just noticed that his tail is rather red and seems to have gotten fatter. He is acting completely fine, still eating and drinking normally. i’ve googled but nothing is showing any help whatsoever so i’m hoping someone here can help us out! he is a russian dwarf. i’ve attached an image;

Hello. It looks like it might be an abscess. You'll need to go to the vet asap. He'll probably need antibiotics if it's an abscess. Or they can diagnose if it's something else.
