Robins tumour update

I know ,she is soooo funny with them. She attacks them so much in the playpen that I attempted to leave them in her enclosure ,but she wasn't having any of that. She shoved them over onto the side and never touched them lol

Hope robin is doing well. Everything crossed here for her. I've used the omnivore critical care for an elderly Syrian in the past it was good for keeping his weight on. I fed it alongside his usual food, veg and a bit of boiled egg every few days.

Thankyou,I am doing the same and she has gained back 8 grams so far. The tumour on her foot is trying to drain her ,but we will keep on as long as she is willing to. Thankfully she enjoys the critical care

The tumour is a little larger now,but she only seems to notice it when she goes to scratch her ears, and switches her feet . She looks at it in disgust,as if to say wth? And then just uses her other feet . Her weight is staying on now

That is positive :-) If she's not biting at it, it sounds like it's not bothering her. Had to laugh at the look of disgust :-)

That’s a good sign that she is keeping her weight 🙏🫶

That's just right. Their guinea pig meals are brilliant, so I think it should be well received ❤️ I think it is designed to be possible to administer using a small syringe if necessary, but I found even when Socks was very weak, he could still nibble enough and I think feeding with a teaspoon should work really well. It has a good formulation of nutrients ❤️
When my Zelda was really sick I would 1/2 baby food and water and mix the Omnivore Critical Care in that to a soup consistency. I put it in a little soy sauce plate and would offer it that way. She always took it, up until the day she stopped all intake and passed at 2+ years from polycystic organ disease ;(

Thanks for that, but thankfully she loves the taste of the critical care and is still eating her normal food really well. The vet advised me to just give her one lot a day to give her the extra calories due to her tumour draining her
