Scottie is around 15 months old now and arrived here as a foster hamster who was going to be rehomed.
He was made homeless because his humans stupidly kept him in a group of Robos and the group started to fight so had to be split up.
I had never met an assertive Robo like Scottie before who attacked the brush i used to brush the debris off his house. He must have seen the brush as an intruder and tried to scare it away which is quite a feast for a tiny Robo, especially a small one like Scottie.
I moved Scottie upstairs in the hamster room when our Robo Monty died and let him inherit Monty's Hamster Heaven.
The HH makes interacting easier and Scottie started to hang around when we were in the room.
Then we unexpectantly lost our dear Gertie and couldn't sleep without hearing her paws on her wheel at night.
I moved Scottie into the bedroom and that move was a major break through.
Scottie loved that spot away from the other hamsters. He was in a dark and quiet corner which must have appealed to him and he started to become quite sociable for Robo standards.
He comes out to play when he's in the mood, runs to the front of his cage asking for treats and appears to be a very content little man.
Oh, and we decided to keep him, obviously.
