Second chance hamsters

Lovely to see little Lawrence, he looks very happy, confident & speedy on his wheel!
He must be enjoying his new home so much.
I don’t think I’d fancy my chances of catching him if he jumped & did a runner either!
 
That is one tiny fast little ham. Loving his wheel! As always they feel at home with you Beryl 😁. Maybe try handle him when he’s been in there for a while and is knackered 🤔🤣xx
 
Understand that! Davy is still in playroom. He just climbed onto my leg for first time! Avoiding the porridge tube Uber tho! Luckily i am off tomorrow! 🙄😂x
 
I now have a Hamster Heaven with two big doors.
Couldn't get home from work quick enough to start this little project.

Cutting perspex isn't much fun (plastic boxes are way easier) but i love to set the sparks flying when cutting metal.

Looking great! I remember the Dig Box u made for Davy - where we were allowed to choose our own tape from your collection! And we chose Cacti tape 😍. Luckily me & Davy have the same taste….x

and that's the reality. I have one blister on my left thumb and had to rush off to the 10 x magnifying mirror to remove a speck of perspex from my right eye.

Ouch definitely googles needed the pain you go through for your very lucky hams so satisfying though when done 🙂
 
Problem is that i can't buy what i want. There is no 80 x 50 cage with a large front and top door. It was Frida i think who suggested altering the HH which i thought was a great idea. Now i have this cage for a rescue/rehoming robo/dwarf and the Alaska for a rescue/rehoming Syrian. Both are fine as temporary cages and have the doors i want. I'm all sorted now and will keep the bin cage as a hospital cage.
The two small cages i have will go to the tip and the two spare Hamster Heavens i will try and sell or donate to a rescue if somebody wants one.
