So half hour in already and I've only done 3/4 of 24 lt bag of clean n cozy it's a job I dislike so I tend to break in bulk and put into a huge bag not even think of doing the 85 lt just bought can't think of anyway to speed up the process of breaking it up into soft fluffy state

How about just breaking it up as you use it? That is what I do. I do not break it up in advance. I just do it when I add any to the cage.

I always break some up ready to use for spot cleans & any slightly bigger cleans but you don’t need much for that, I use a plastic box not sure of the size, could be about 10L maybe, & keep some. handy in that.
It’s a lot easier to store if you do it that way as it takes up so much room once it’s all loosened up.

I've actually got a huge empty bin in the loft so the bag full will be transferred into it then I can bring a small amount downstairs as needed for toilet changes i do his ensuite daily and spot cleaning as when it's needed
