What containers do you use to store food, sprays, chews, etc.?

Title! Wondering if there is a benefit to using glass over plastic or vice versa, if ziploc bags are suitable, and what you all use.

I use the lock and lock boxes as they're apparently the only plastic boxes that are completely air tight. They are also BPA free, which is something I'm conscious of with plastic these days. Things like glass mason jars are nice and more natural (but maybe don't stack? So take up more space), although not completely airtight, but probably airtight enough! They also look very nice. Personally, anything glass in this house, usually ends up broken!

Great, thank you! Are these the lock n lock boxes you’re referring to? Also, are ziploc baggies safe? For things I have in small quantities mostly

Yes those are the lock n lock boxes - but it can work out quite expensive if needing a few! I’ve gradually built mine up. I originally got them because they are apparently the only thing that can keep pantry moths out.

Hello again! Came up with another question lol. I really appreciate your help thus far.

I’ve received most of my orders for my future Syrian hammy, and some of the things like food, forage, treats, chews, etc. came in resealable packaging. After freezing, can I keep those things in their original packaging or do I have to move them to something else like mason jars, ziplocs, or airtight plastic food storage containers?

They're probably fine in resealable packaging - I often do that :-) I really just use the sealable boxes for the main hamster food or a larger amount of treats sometimes.

Awesome, thanks! I was gonna need a lot of airtight containers hahaha
