Why does my hamster's food have grape seeds in it?

I recently looked at the ingredient list of my hamster food(Versele laga crispy muesli) and one of the ingredients say 'grape seed'. I'm confused, because aren't grape seeds toxic to hamsters? I thought that since it is in pet food it wouldnt be toxic, but everywhere online says that it is. Should I throw the bags out?

It was listed in the packet, but on the Turkish translation of the ingredients stickied on top of the package. The full list says:
"16 ℅ Vegetable by-products(in pellet form), 40℅ cereals(safflower, wheat, corn, oats), 18% vegetables(in pellet form), 2℅ minerals (in pellet form), 24℅ seeds(sunflower seed, grape seed, linseed)."

The ingredient list is really strange, because it doesn't list other ingredients in the bag like peanuts and pumpkin seeds and I can see peanuts in the bag. I am now wondering if there has been a production error during labeling.

Can you see any grape seed if you sift through the packet? It does feel like a mistranslation. It's more likely to be flax seed or canary seed. I would be very surprised if grape seeds were being used as they aren't very tasty and don't have much starch in them.

I dug through the bag and found this thing. Is this a grape seed or just wheat?

Hmm - I think it looks like a grain to me. A grape pip is very smooth usually. Often dark coloured. I think if I were you I would email Versele Laga directly and send them a photo of the bag and ask exactly what the ingredients are and ask why the Turkish version has grape seed listed in the ingredients.

Yeah, I will email them when I get home. I think they probably mixed up the ingredients list of different products.

I'm not sure - I don't think any animal product would have grape seeds in - in fact they aren't even usually called seeds, but pips - like orange pips. Neither would they be likely to have grapefruit seed extract in - that's more for humans I think. I'm wondering if the word grape has been mistranslated and should be something else. What seeds can you see in there that aren't tiny? Apart from sunflower seeds - any pumpkin seeds?
