Why is this happenin

My hamster is carry around chew toy back and forth in her cage and won't let go and she carry it around into house and then comes out and comes back in why? I help her and put it inside but she takes it out and again

What a lovely hamster . It looks like a whimzee chew and hamsters love those! In fact they sometimes treat them as special items. And can put them in a safe place. I’m just wondering if she was cleaned out recently or her hoard removed? If so it sounds like she is hanging onto her precious treasured whimzee.

My hamster does this too. Recently he carried his whimzee into his multi chamber hide, then to his hide and then back again.

What a cute hamster. Sounds like they are just looking for a safe place to stash their find. Our hamster does this with wooden chews.
