@Socks' Mum - it's a personal choice There were a few years when I didn't have a Christmas tree - I was single - travelled a lot and there was no point! Although I did have a little token 6" cardboard one I put on a ledge. Which was quite cute and very easy! It was two flat pieces of cardboard (Christmas tree colour and design) that slotted together to become "3D". We actually got a 3" one of those in a Christmas cracker one year!
