Good news! It seems the bait traps worked, we haven’t seen any ants for about a week now. We didn’t have to use any sprays, so we didn’t have to evacuate Bernie lol.

That is really good news. They should work yes if they contain the same stuff with Borax in that we used to use. It used to be the only thing that worked- the bait taken back by the ants kills off the entire nest.

And so you have now avoided an outbreak of flying ants If you had left dealing with it another month the flying ants would have hatched out and then nothing kil;s the whole nest - its then a case of daily hoovering, opening windows and spraying for ages! Been there! It's the one thing I learned - don't delay dealing with it until later in the summer.
