Blossom seems none the worse for having been looked after by my neighbour while I went away for a few days for Christmas A few things had gone missing in her cage…nothing new there then eh lol?

So, Blossom got a good report from my neighbour. She was reported to be “good as gold” Phew, lol

Just to show you what a wee, dainty girl Blossom is, here she is sitting in her food bowl to eat, one of her favourite ways to eat

Just tell your mum to get you a new and larger food bowl Blossom and that way you won’t have such a….ermm…tight fit!

I gave Blossom a quick spot clean this afternoon ahead of returning to work tomorrow….3 guesses as to what Blossom likes to do in her carrier while I’m cleaning her out (I don’t think you’ll need 3 guesses! )

Had a little bit of a worrying time with Blossom yesterday. My boiler packed up on Monday so was without heating, although thankfully I did have hot water. Blossom’s cage is lagged with wool anyway, and I put an extra layer of insulation on her roof too. I also warmed up her snuggle safe pack to help warm her cage. I was out at work yesterday, and when I got home found that the thermometer next to Blossom’s cage read only 15.2 degrees I put on a fan heater asap and re warmed her snuggle safe pack, and had a nervous wait to see if she was ok and would come out for her tea. I am happy to report that the heating has now been fixed, and that Blossom is happy and well

Tbh, it’s been bleddy freezin’ hamster fans…can’t ’spect a hamster to get out of bed when it’s colder than the arctic circle outside!! Fortunately, me mum woz on the case, and it’s now safe to venture outside for a drinkie and to forage for me treats! It’s all right tho hamster fans…I, Blossom, am alive and well Normal service and shenanigans will be resumed shortly

Oh no - last thing you need is a boiler packing up! It sounds like you avoided things getting too cold though It's noticeable mine come out more when there's more heating on!

Blossom LOVES her dig box. Usually, she kind of nose dives in and does a handstand into it. This evening tho, she took a flying leap off her log, and belly flopped into the substrate
