I wonder where the rest of that cork heart is - presumbably broken up and maybe went to line her nest? If so that was quite clever for a bit of winter insulation Nice to see the "before" photo of the basket! Seeing it right next to the "after photo" could be fun as well!

Blossom was squeaking just now, so I went to see what was up in her little world. She was standing with her front paws on the edge of the wheel, peering in and squeaking because there was no treat in there…she’d already eaten/pouched the peanut that I put in there earlier lol I told her so, and she stopped squeaking and scuttled off in search of other goodies!

Just a little update hamster fans from me, Blossom Me mum only went and ‘bandoned me for a week…yes, a whole week hamster fans! The cheek of it! It were all right cos me Auntie Helen and me Auntie Chris came in to tend to me needs (they ain’t me aunties really cos they ain’t hamsters, but that’s what me mum calls ‘em, so I play along wiv ‘em all) Anyways, me mum came home from her holibobs at the seaside today to find that me Auntie Chris had been somewhat cavalier wiv me nuggets and given me loads me mum only gave me one tonight, and said she’s gonna clean out me stash of nuggets tomorrow…pah! She says normal service will resume now she’s back home Maybe me Auntie Chris took pity on a poor ‘bandoned hamster. I guess it’s nice having me mum back home tho

Glad all was fine after your holiday! I used to have the same issue when OH feeds the hamsters! I think he just keeps piling new food on top of old food and it just spills over everywhere! Whereas my pet sitter does it perfectly (and follows the list of instructions!).

Blossom here, hamster fans, checking in with all the latest news.
Me mum went shopping this morning to the Home of Pets and had the good sense to buy me, Blossom (trademark!) some lovely new goodies for me enclosure. She cleaned out me stash …pah!…but did give me a new wobbly toy and me very own cupcake…and also a pink flower to make me cage look nice! She also gave me loads of new bedding, but I still snaffled a bit more from me toilet roll treat holder to make me nest just right…got to be comfy, eh hamster fans? Overall, I’m pretty happy with me mum’s purchases today…she ain’t too bad really
