Blossom celebrated today by sleeping through an entire spot clean for the first time ever, including oiling her wheel so it spins more freely in case she wants to use it. She usually wakes up and goes in her carry case while I clean her out. I turned my back for a few minutes and when I came back, the cheese had disappeared from her wheel! Happy gotcha day my pretty little cherry blossom

Last time I cleaned her out, she slept thru, and I panicked a bit, wondering if she was ok, and investigated her nest and woke up a very sleepy Miss B. This time, I just assumed she was sleeping I guess she’s so used to the cleaning out routine now that she can’t be bothered to get out of bed to look lol. Fortunately, the bulk of her poop was under her platform this time, so I didn’t need to root around too much. Anyway, she’s absolutely fine, and has been out for her tea, and obviously scoffed her cheese down super quickly !

A nice reward of cheese Yes I think they get used to clean outs after a while - good she just goes to sleep.

Blossom has just been cleaning poop out of her bed…the bit I didn’t do the other day as she was still sleeping So I’ve just removed it from her cage. Teamwork makes the dream work Just added another little dish ‘step’ for her too as she was trying to get up on one of her other wooden platforms…should make it a bit easier for her. She is currently very active and loving doing circuits round her cage. The tunnel and steps I added for her recently make it possible to do a full circuit round her whole cage, and she is making full use of them

I made Blossom some porridge this evening for her tea for the first time. I made it at first in her terracotta saucer then realised that she likes to sit in it while eating!! Could get messy! So I decanted it quickly into her tealight holder instead. She loved it She sat for a few minutes scoffing it

I love the way she is perched on her ladder while eating it Very gourmet having porridge in a nice dish! Mine just get a teaspoon with it on

I’ve noticed it’s getting harder for her to get into her dig box. I think the time has come to rearrange/simplify her cage for her to make it easier to get around. It won’t quite all be on one level as she can still get up to her platform, but I’m planning to take out some of her platforms and bring her favourite things down to a lower level. I’m working tomorrow but have a day off the day after, so plan to do it then. I don’t want to upset her by doing a big reshuffle, but hopefully she’ll be happy if she can get around more easily…and I can always appease her with a bowl of porridge
