they’re sooo adorable 🥹🫶🏻

Cheesey is lovely. I have a soft spot for long haired syrian hamsters. Your bond looks really special.

I had one who looked very similar called Tarak.

He seems to be having a nice time chilling :-) Does he free roam?

i remember he just jumped off the bed twice, i was really scared and i didn’t know what to do so i just tried to calm him down and gave him some food and he was normal again.

i don’t keep him on the floor as i don’t think it’s good for him. it may be dusty and i’ve heard hamster have a really sensitive respiratory system

Yes it is a good idea to hoover up a bit if they're going to free roam. Although I don't do that every time and mine seem to enjoy foraging for crumbs on the carpet ha ha. To be honest I wouldn't worry too much about dust on floors. Mine tend to find the muckiest cobwebby corner they can possibly find! Our house is quite old and there are some remote corners under the stairs a bit like that that get missed! Our last hamster often came out with a cobweb attached to his whiskers - maybe he'd eaten a spider 😂 .

The main thing is that the room is hamsterproof - any small gaps blocked off etc.

Also to check there's nothing unsuitable on the floor a hamster could pouch. Stories of marbles, chocolate and all sorts.

Right, that makes sense. i shall let him roam freely around the house then.

Beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing Cheesy's photos on Instagram now too :-)
