So Chicken was hatched from one of seven eggs I bought in Wales in Spring 2013, after visiting my son at uni. Having kept chickens for several years before this I decided to hatch my own and bring them up from Chicks.
Chicken eggs take 20 to 21 days to hatch so we timed putting them into the incubator so that they would hatch out over Easter, and we could be there in case of any issues.
It was the most amazing thing!

Unfortunately only 5 little chicks hatched out of the 7 eggs.
Here is a video of them when they were a day or so old. As you can see they are very lively and if you have the sound on you can hear them cheeping.
