Diabetes in Chinese hamsters.

Is it possible to get clarification on what moderation means for various treats like pumpkin seeds, meal worms, and cat treats?

Moderation is a bit vague sorry but it’s hard to be exact.
Maybe don’t give more than two or three of these on the same day, so say one pumpkin seed & a mealworm and a pinenut of teeny piece of another type of nut on one day would be ok.
If you only give one type of treat a day then mealworms one a day is enough really, two or three pumpkin seeds (preferably in the shell so they have to work for the treat) a couple of pine nuts or sunflower seeds in the shell would be enough.
Some of it depends on what nutrition they get from the main mix, whether you’re aiming to increase protein (this would usually be the case with cat treats or dried chicken) & how much fat is in the mix, if the fat content in the main mix is very low then you can afford to be a bit more liberal with treats generally.
Hope that helps a bit.
