It's not a bad weight for a small Syrian. He's eating well, energetic and seems to be healthy and content. I can pick him up off the floor now and held him a little while tonight stroking him. I waited till after he had had a good run around and was a bit tired though.

Oh he looks gorgeous there. Lovely he lets you stroke him :-)

He really is a lovely boy & it’s great that he’s so at ease with you already.

Davy lets me pick him up, and I hold onto him for a few seconds and stroke him. He’s not loving it tho. Think he is just humouring me! ‘well mum I am having a good life here I may just let you touch me 😖

Cedric let's me stroke him while trying to get out of the cage. At the moment he is as wriggly and fast as Davy was. In fact, their behaviour is similar. Cedric races around on the floor at top speed until he's tired. When i put him back in his cage he heads straight for the bottle and food.

No I don’t Beryl. He looks OK and is eating well - clean plate every morning. Not easy to weigh them when they are wriggly I don’t want him to end up on the floor 😳

Just put the scales on the floor. I'm only curious and not saying that you should weigh him. I reckon he's about 120g-125g now. Maybe a bit less as he's short.

Oh yes i didn’t even think of that 🙄. Maybe I cd weigh him in his taxi as our scales are the flat digital kind. I wd like to know that he’s doing OK tbh x

I've never had a red eyed Syrian before. Cedric's eyes are a lot darker than Lilly's.

Red eyes do vary, I think it depends how much if any pigment they have any pigment in them.

Just back from my week away and I've missed the arrival of Cedric. What a cuteee 😃😃 Love his set up wt the tube run round the top (Hams would be most jealous). Hope this helps with his chewing too. He's gorgeous, fantastic he survived his escape and was found safe. He's in great hands now and will be having a fabulous fun filled life. He certainly seems the adventurous type already. Look forward to hearing how he settles in 🙂

Cedric loves his free roaming time. After a good hour he gets hungry and hovers near me when i call him. Picking up off the floor needs a bit of practising as he jumps about a lot. It's almost like he wants to come to me but isn't sure yet. It will happen in its own time when he is ready.
