1) Keep it friendly
2) Be courteous and respectful. Others may have differing opinions at times. Healthy debate is fine!
3) Stay on topic. Please give a clear topic title and put your post in the appropriate category. Try to stay on topic during a discussion. If something comes up within that topic that is different then start a new thread for that.
4) Share your knowledge. Don't hold back sharing your knowledge. Someone else may find it useful or interesting.
5) Please ensure photos, videos and links are appropriate. If adding any links to your post, please ensure they are https links and not older http links.
6) Please don't post any photos of baby hamsters before their eyes are open (this would mean the nest had been disturbed).
7) Please don't post any photos of dying or deceased hamsters.
8) If your hamster has a medical condition or injury and you're sharing for support or advice, please hide the photo under a spoiler alert.
9) Please don't "name and shame" any shops or organisations. Keep it general.
10) We don't encourage breeding of hamsters (unless you're an official pedigree breeder) - this can be harmful without knowing the genetics of the parent hamsters.
11) Please don't use a lot of capital letters in posts and titles. This can come across as shouting to some people.
12) If there is a problem post or thread you want to be looked at, please use the "report" button, which is on every post.
13) We ask you not to use any personally identifying information in forum posts - eg your real name or location etc, but to choose an anonymous username instead and not to post identifying photographs of children.
14) When uploading photos please don't use links to image sites, but just use the "attach file" button at the bottom of your post. You can upload photos directly this way, and either leave them as thumbnails or "insert" them in the post using the link on the thumbnail.
15) If sharing hamster videos, please use Youtube. You can paste the link in a post and the video becomes embedded.
16) Please don't post links to any other video media sites, Facebook, Tik Tok, X or similar. These would be removed.
17) You need to be aged 13 or over to use this site. If you are under 13, even if you are responsible for your own hamster, you will need to ask a parent to open an account and post instead.

Enjoy!
