Funny things about humans-A thread for hamsters

Last night was great. The humans went to bed early and I could use my wheel earlier. I had so much fun. This morning was terrible because the human woke up late and I could not go to my playpen when I wanted. They give with one paw and take with another.

Raffy: You think you’ve got problems. Last night my human put a hegg shaped bit of food on my flying saucer. Instead of on the floor. It was stopping me running properly as it kept rattling and getting in the way, but eventually I ran fast enough that it flew off. The place for food is the floor - when will they learn?

Little Bear here!

Last night my human did the CRAZIEST THING!!!!! She gave me "squash". I rolled in it. It looked rollable!!! Then she said sternly "No, mister! Squash is food, not sand!", but I know she didn't mean it because she burst out laughing. Humans are crazy. The she rushed away and brought back a fury, kind of scratchy towel. I'm going to call her Linda. But I also now Linda's not her name because she's never called that by the other human man. ANYWAY, (i'm getting sidetracked) She my around in it until the squash wasn't on my anymore! How rude! Linda then took the squash away and gave me veggies instead. Again, HOW RUDE!!!!! HOW DARE SHE!!!!!

NOW who has problems? ME!

Tino: My human does very odd things with her sand bath. Instead of sand she has a blanket in it - how can you wash in a blanket? I have tried, believe me. I've pulled at it and it doesn't do anything - just sits there. Why she keeps taking me to her bath I have no idea. I don't even like baths and don't even bother to use my own! But her bath is HUGE.

Socks: humans wash their bedding in a box full of water to get their smell off it. Then they say life is stressful. They would be far less stressed if they smelled like themselves.

Mom has been reading about cage rage in hamsters. I thought it meant the latest fashion in cages (hopefully bigger and bigger) but apparently it involves monkey barring and bar biting. Now who would be doing a bit of that in the dark, I wonder?
