I've tried them. I did a course on public speaking once for interest and my final presentation was a five minute talk on any topic. A couple of my audience agreed to eat one of I did. They're OK but shelly and dry

They don't have much meat to them, mainly crispy spicy exoskeleton. A bit like peanut skins. I suspect that frying the tails in butter while they are fresh might be a more traditional way of eating them

Don't know if it's being used outside the States, but powdered mealworm has been in use for years here to add protein to processed food.

You guys and your real food...
